Did I mention in my last post that Moody's has a gift shop? Because they do. I know I live here now but sometimes I still feel like a tourist, hence the Bat Maine sticker below. As for the above picture...it's true. I am pretty crabby in the mornings.

Today I am thankful for Moody's Diner and Coffee

My husband Todd and I live somewhat near Moody's. It's been around for quite some time (since 1927 according to this mug) so they obviously sell good food and coffee. Remember when I said my bug zapper was my best friend? Well I lied because coffee has been my #1 for years. I always have about 4-6 different types of coffee in the house at a time, and I know you are probably thinking "won't the coffee be less fresh if you have so much of it laying around over time?" and they answer is no. Believe me...In this house it goes pretty fast.
I have a Keurig brewer, a french press, and a regular brewer. I used to have a stove top espresso maker or "moka pot" and an actual espresso machine but neither one worked very well so they are no longer with me. (Anyone know of a good CHEAP espresso maker?) Not only do I own lots of brewers, I also own a milk frother, coffee grinder, and about 8 thousand coffee mugs...Yeah, I obviously have a problem.
I am so so thankful for coffee. Iced, hot, blended, etc. It's all perfect to me.

Todd recently got me this beautiful ring for our 2 year anniversary. Another one of my lovely blessings.

Today I am thankful for my Mother-in-law

This lovely woman is an inspiration and I am so glad that I can be a part of her family

My mother in law, Angela is a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. I haven't known her for too long but with the short time I've spent around her I can tell you that she is a very kind and generous person with compassion for all things and people.
She has 4 children, my husband Todd being the oldest. I know Todd is a pain in my butt half the time so I can only imagine what she had to put up with when he was growing up. :P
I hope that I can grow to be the kind of woman Angela is.

The view from our bedroom window always seems to be a good one. Night and day.

Today I am thankful for my bug zapper...

The company called this "the crawler" but I call it my best friend.

I hate hate hate bugs (except the useful ones like bees). I especially hate bugs that are in my house and lately there have been a lot.
It's not very fun trying to shoo gnats when drinking my morning coffee or getting bit up by mosquitoes when I'm sleeping, but thanks to my new best friend, I can at least keep them away when I am awake.
About a month and a half ago my husband (then fiance) and I went to visit my father in Illinois. He had recently bought a "zapper racket" at wal-mart. He mostly used it camping but it came in handy inside the house a few times as well.
After Todd and I moved up to Maine - where the state bird should be the mosquito instead of the chickadee - we thought it would probably be a good idea to get one of those rackets too...but not just any racket. I wanted something that was easy to use and easy to kill bugs with. That is what I got. I wouldn't really call this model "safe" and it is by no means kid friendly but for me it gets the job done...I just have to be careful not to hit myself or anyone else.

At least now I have peace of mind...well...except when I sleep.
